Moles and Ants

You're a mole that likes eating fire ants. Surround them with dirt to eat them and gain energy. At 6+ energy, you can stay still for 2 seconds to gain a speed boost which will last until you tire out. Beware, ants can eat you and lower your energy. Death at 0 energy. How many ants can you eat?
